Economic Benefits

The ARBA project represents a structural transformation of the regional economic model, generating value through the production, processing, and export of strategic goods in a historically marginalized area. Its impact goes beyond local growth, it seeks to position Baja California Sur within major national and international value chains.

1. Activation of the Regional Economy
The construction and operation of the productive complex will generate a multiplier effect in the local economy, benefiting suppliers, transporters, service providers, merchants, and other indirectly related sectors.

2. Attraction of National and International Investment
The project creates optimal conditions for the arrival of private and institutional capital, offering legal certainty, modern infrastructure, and a long-term vision. It opens the door to new strategic partnerships with Mexican and foreign companies.

3. Value-Added Production for Export
Through the installation of a TIF slaughterhouse, packing centers, and logistics platforms, ARBA will enable the export of value-added agri-food products to the APEC market, with competitive prices and attractive margins.

4. Reduction of External Economic Dependence
By strengthening local production of food, agricultural inputs, and essential goods, the project reduces the need for imports from other regions, stabilizing prices and improving the state’s trade balance.

5. Creation of Formal Jobs and Increased Household Income
The complex will generate hundreds of formal jobs in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, logistics, processing, technical services, and clean energy, raising family income levels and boosting local consumption.

6. Support for Local Entrepreneurship
With access to water, energy, and marketing channels, new opportunities will emerge for small and medium producers to develop agroindustrial, food, and service businesses with access to training and financing.

7. Development of a Self-Sufficient Economic Hub
ARBA aims to transform the Matancitas area into an economic hub with water, energy, and productive self-sufficiency, capable of operating profitably, resiliently, and with high social and environmental impact.

The rise in economic activity and formal employment will lead to greater local and state tax collection, strengthening public finances and enabling increased investment in infrastructure, health, and education.
